Sounds great, didn't know it was a TV recording until I dug into the first issue. Meditative raga influenced jazz.

two big songs that helped define the space in new old ukg/2step. bax is the one tho.
little distortion on the a-side but honestly who cares just play it loud |

A beautiful Bjork album. Pressing sounds fine but I'm no audiophile. Rabit coproduction on B-side was a real treat.

I never really listened to Bicep but I'd run across them on mixes or see their names around. That's an indictment on me, not on them, it's just hard to keep up with all the new dance music, even when it's a big artist/group. Anyway, solid album with a...

Obviously a masterpiece. In the Swordfishtrombones trilogy, perhaps the most accessible with some of Waits' most iconic songs. Just a wonderful piece of music and composition. I'm not enough of a Tom Waits expert to say anything about Rain Dogs as...

I disagree with some of what you're saying, but I recognize that opinions are opinions and it's okay to not enjoy this track as much, or to think there was some ulterior motivation (though I'd disagree), but I think at this point it's perhaps...

It's Prince and it's a good record idk what to say. A2 sounds a little distorted/overdriven but whatever.

Listened to A2 and bought the record on that alone. Sick track.

What's there to say that hasn't been said a million times. One of the best records of all time. I know that Burial was making an homage to the dance music he grew up listening to/sort of hearing or remembering outside of clubs, and it sounds almost...

Record sounds crisp and clear. I want to make a joke about European languages and how I wish I could understand the band singing songs about escargot or whatever but I can't because Stereolab is a great band and this is a superb record.

i think the numbered tag is a mistake. fwiw my runout has a scratched off etching on at least the second disc, but didn't check others.

Not as challenging as other Sunn records. Don't know if it's as special as other releases though.

Best Dead record and one of the best straight-forward Americana albums from the era. Wonderful weekend hangover album too.

I don't know about quality of pressing -- my ears aren't good for it -- but A1 likely is a bit distorted which is a shame. But C1 is the big track. People calling this the release of the year last year tho were a bit over zealous imo.

This blue-collar, arena rock Bob Dylan is going places, gonna keep an eye on him

Monumental dubstep-adjacent record or whatever genre but a beautiful combination of the sonic influences of dubstep and future garage with more conventional song structure. Every song has depth and color. In many ways, when music was in a brighter...

Beautiful record from one of the more inventive dubstep acts of the time.

I mean everyone knows the Closet Mix is mostly the better mix but what can ya do no one would listen to Lou

Pretty sure this is the one I have but stamp on the back of the cover is reversed (Crank on bottom right/Hammer Press bottom left). Has the label insert, lyric sheet, and a small piece of paper with info for writing to the band.
Classic midwest emo... See full review |

Dunno how I got this record. All rapping over a drum machine. Feels more like a curiosity than anything vital to have.

Call it dubstep, call it grime, Rygby is one of the special producers of this generation. Feels like an heir to Rustie in a sense. Just buy every Rygby record and be happy.

Before Spectrum but after Spacemen 3. A record that should stand out as much as Lazer Guided Melodies by Spiritualized, but maybe I just think LGM has a bigger reputation than it does. Turn off the lights and listen imo

Scott 1 is the better album but this is still good. No comments on the pressing. But one should have all the Scott albums.

All great songs that are collected in other places in better versions.

I can't comment on the sonic fidelity of the repress; my ear isn't that good and I don't have hi-fi equipment sufficient enough to make it a discernible thing to me. Assuming I'm a median listener, it sounds good to me, but again, don't take my word...

Sly and Robbie obviously dons, bought this on a whim bc of don status and the cover looking badazz. Turns out it's Dub From the Roots but missing songs. Don't get this, just get Dub From the Roots.

Tons of dope songs. Really enjoy all the first songs on each side. Johnson Hawkins... is great. But nice varied jams, some slow songs, some laments, and some grooves.

Really smooth and crystal clear pressing.
Also it's album of the year and nothing comes close. |

B-side's a banger, big rhythm. A-side doesn't do it for me tho.

big tunes from a certified don but shockwaves and nomine's ego are the standouts to me

Pretty unique sounds, good album, happy I bought it :)

A-side is a dance floor killer, don't know how people don't like it.
B-side is a footwork jam out. Again how can you not like it |
