Our prayers have been answered! I was also averse to the box set at first, but preordered for the same going rate of an original “Show Me Your Tears” LP.

Frank Black & the Catholics studio collection 6LP box set preorders up now for early July release date! Its Demon again, but being remastered by Alchemy from the original 2” tapes. Finally we’re getting those other 3 albums on vinyl!

I nearly shat myself when I heard Tempter on BCS! I think she’s a Breeders fan too.

I hate to break it to you, but it's probably your turntable, LP60s are apparently prone to frequent skipping. I would try setting it up again but I may recommend upgrading to LP120 or something in that range. Apparently these are pressed by Rainbo so...

I think most Americans were literally snoozing at the time they had sold out.

Flappinumm Unfortunately, in order to fit it onto one disc, “Divorced” is edited and the last four tracks are missing. I would have rather had them cram the whole thing. |

Who's to say one pressing is more valuable than the other? They're both out of print now and the slight matrix variance and different color paper sleeve seem trivial. Hardly the difference between a first and second pressing of any of the early albums.

Not sure, but the LTEV pressings all seem to be very small runs and even the more common releases are hard to find on LTEV. The only one that I’m aware had an official count was Extremeties with 2000 pressed across 4 colors.

Just speculating, but I read this is one of Jaz’s least favorite KJ albums because of drinking heavily at the time. Apparently Geordie refuses to play these songs live as well. Not sure if this is why we haven’t seen one yet, definitely my favorite...

You know what’s even more brutal than this release? Trying to take the CDs out of the card stock sleeves. I was lucky enough to have some CD sleeves lying around. Would recommend taking them out of the sleeve if you want to keep your valuable CDs from...

I was wondering the same as it is quite a mess, but most of them appear to have some variation of the matrix or sleeve. I wish there were more clarity on this but that is why we have Discogs as a database, so I suppose this is the best we can do. I...

Where are they getting the 600 total for the repress? My repress came with an insert that states 1000 copies. Not sure if there are more black than red marble or clear.

That song is called "Delirium of Disorder" and it's supposed to sound that way.

Theyre reissues, not Velvet Underground and Nico acetates. Start your own reissue label if using paper sleeves on a $20 reissue bothers you that much.

PopMarket keeps posting the reissue under this listing. Flag them.

Not perfect, but noticeably better than the Glow in the dark variant. One example where its better to skip the “limited” version.

Looks like this version may retain some value after all, as the new Fat Possum release will have different “updated” artwork.

This record sound great to me, much like the other Mushroom LPs. Looks great too.

My copy has the Side A label on both sides.

The version currently available from the SST website looks to be a repress, the label does not match the picture here and is a magenta color. Runouts appear the same. Presumably all the sealed copies for sale on here are the same. I’ll try to make a...

Excellent! Any mention of what other reissues are coming?

Above and beyond what I would consider to be a helpful assessment. Thank you. Appreciate the Pandemonium input too as I have only heard the original. I’ll probably buy this but I’ll appreciate the update either way!

Can anyone comment on the sound quality of this release?

yeehaw90125 Well, I asked Mark Robinson via email, he plans on reissuing more tapes, but did not specify which. I was casting my vote for Air Miami 14/16 songs… |

“Diamonds & Carrots” features an entirely different mix than the album version “Diamonds and Carats”

Yeah, the “collectors item” defense is a bit patronizing to me. You think 1000 people are going to seek out a variant of this with a jacked up track listing? I’ll just exchange mine thank you.
