Reviews
- Although uncredited, two compositions credited to Abdul-Malik are actually older calypso songs from Trinidad. "The Hustlers" follows the melody of Atilla The Hun's "Five Year Plan", and "Hannibal's Carnivals" is Duke of Iron's "Don't Stop The Carnival" - both of which predate this album by years. It is worth noting that Abdul-Malik was himself of Caribbean parentage, and is known to have worked with calypso bands in New York, despite later claiming that his family was Sudanese.
