Reviews
- Edited 6 days agoWhat can I say? Great packaging; great sleeves; great pressings and above all great music. I started on a high with Oscillators and the wonderful guitar of Victor Kasoma. No complaints here and such a joy on The RTR Turntable in Berlin
- Edited 4 months agoThis is my second VMP Anthology boxset, and the quality has been consistent between both of them, and both of them are GZ pressed which is very interesting, obviously GZ have significantly improved over the last year. We're talking utmost quality throughout, the mastering jobs, the pressings, the quietness of the vinyl, the flatness, center holes in the labels, through to tip-on jackets and box quality.
But it's the content that really blows me away. I'm by no means a Zamrock fan, not heard of it before, but VMP make it so enticing and interesting to get these sets and discover these wonderfully compilated collections.
It's truly wonderful and making me discover some remarkable music I otherwise wouldn't come across.
The standout album for me in the collection is the 45,000 Volts one, really good stuff. On the first record, Introduction, the gain kept rising and dropping, no idea if that was on the original or was an error translated to the remaster. It doesn't particularly detract from the album though, just worth mentioning. - On sale currently for $300 at the Rappcats site https://rappcats.com/products/story-of-zamrock
