    Hello,

I am an independent archivist and historian for the band nobodyknows+. The releases you can see here are largely made by me, and will continue to be updated by me in the days to come. I am currently in possession of the majority of their discography, with upcoming shipments bringing that up to the vast majority.

However, not counting reissues I don't plan to get, I am left at (what I currently believe to be) two items remaining to get.

For the first question, regarding the rare CD: where could I most likely find a rare Japanese CD online for sale? I've asked plenty of times to date, but I don't mind asking again just in case. I've exhausted a vast amount of websites online looking for the single Winds of Wins (published by $TAX RECORDS, bears the catalog number TNK-019). Furthermore, I've conscripted a personal shopper to look for the CD in Nagoya, who couldn't in his own time. If I could ask, are there any sites I could check for this CD? I will leave an exhaustive list of websites I've checked so far at the bottom.
[Potential keywords that may bring up this item: Cheer Dragons 2010 Theme Song, 中日ドラゴンズ CD, Winds of Wins, TNK-019, nobodyknows+]
    {I am not looking for the song Winds of Wins redistributed through the album "nobodyknows+ is dead?", but specifically the single which can be seen here}

For my second question, is there any way to view an inventory of Sony Music Associated Records Inc.'s published works? I would like to research the catalog number AIBL-9162. My research indicates that this DVD is a music video compilation, and is potentially linked to nobodyknows+. However, its documentation is incredibly lacking online, such that the information I have on it is incredibly sparse. As such, I'd wish to be able to contact someone and ask about this catalog number's associated item, and/or otherwise find a way to search a catalog for said catalog number. (Proof of documentation)
^^ The above question has since been resolved. ^^

    Many thanks in advance!

(Exhaustive list of websites (alphabetical): Amazon, Bookoff, Buyee, CDJapan, Disk Union, eBay, FROM JAPAN, Mandarake, Mercari JP, Netoff, Otsukai, Rakuten, Rakuma, TOWER RECORDS, Yahoo! JAPAN Auction, Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping
    Successful hits:
    Suruga-ya (out of stock)
    Netoff (sold)

First of all, thank you for all your work. We would be nowhere without folks like you.

If it's not on Amazon, that means it doesn't have a JAN... and without a barcode a lot of sites might not even be able to list the damn thing. Honestly, just continuing to check Suruga-ya is probably your best bet just because they are able to list it at all (and that is why a lot of really obscure stuff lands there rather than anywhere else)!

In my experience, sonymusic.co.jp is one of those sites that never deletes anything. So if it's not there (and I checked just now)... Did it even exist??

At least if it's Sony, then it must have a barcode. Find that barcode and you'll find the item. If there is no barcode then it really might have been canceled or something.

CDJournal claims that AIBL-9162 was canceled or delayed (so by this time... probably canceled.) Since they also list the title as being a working title, I assume this DVD was announced at some point but didn't materialize.

I would like to believe this? And by all means that may be true, but what's throwing me off is that the linked netoff website displays the item as having in fact sold at one point, and additionally lists the DVD's contents under, all of which are valid music videos published by nobodyknows+. If both are true, I imagine it was likely then some sort of prototype copy that got out somehow.

I don't see anything on the website that indicates it was ever sold - just, presumably, what price they would sell it at it if they had any copies, so I don't think that means anything. To confirm this, I looked up this item: https://www.netoff.co.jp/detail/0013122580

This DVD was canceled, I'm 100% certain of it. If any copies were made, none ever made it into the hands of the public. Yet they also have it listed. Hey, they even offer free shipping!

As for the track listing, CDJournal has that data too - presumably it was part of whatever announcement was sent to retailers. So now I'm quite certain that this release was never produced and that the NETOFF listing doesn't mean anything, sadly.

The item in question should have a barcode, as subsequent releases do have them. They have a consistent barcode pattern, but prior barcodes brought up no results. However, I'm not sure how I'd be able to check for a potentially existing JAN.

That's alright! It's more reassuring than not knowing this once-ephemeral item is in fact something I'll need not worry about, as its contents are in fact available in a later release of theirs. Many thanks for your input!

I looked into this a bit more - I see that you have entered barcodes for TNK-022 and TNK-027.

However, the barcode you submitted for TNK-022 shows me a completely different release (specifically, TNK-021) when I search for it, and the barcode you submitted for TNK-027 gives me no results at all.

Where did these barcodes come from - the packaging, the shrinkwrap? Maybe we can learn more by going back to the source.

I've added backside images to Fly High, Join Us, and Lets Dance. nobodyknows+ is dead?, PLATINUM 4, and THE FIVE WAYS, while also being valid $TAX RECORDS publications, oddly enough have no barcodes to be seen.

I pulled up the Sigma Sounds Studio label page from Internet Archive, and... I can't find any correlation between whether any of these was sold in stores and whether they have a barcode or not.

Honestly, I think Winds of Wins is hard to find just because you could only buy it from a baseball team's online store. Keep watching Suruga-ya - your best chance is when somebody wants to dump their whole load of old CDs.

This is almost certainly true, and the means by which I've been operating under recently; The other 3 CDs I bought with ease, and given that they're similar in release to Winds of Wins, I was praying that it'd be similarly attainable by some means.

As of late I've just been watching Yahoo! Auctions and Mercari like an eagle, praying that it'll show up either by itself or in some obscure Chunichi Dragons bulk merch sale. On that note, whats the best way to search Suruga-ya to such an end? Is it more productive to search for Winds of Wins explicitly, or instead look for bulk sales of Chunichi Dragons CDs as I detailed prior?
