This post is hidden because you reported it for abuse. Show this postHi,
Could you kindly have a look to this strange submission of mine and vote if ok?
An old mono LP from "Varese Sarabande".
Gillis*, Glanville-Hicks*, Rudhyar*, Freeman* - Gillis ? Tulsa, A Symphonic Portrait / Glanville-Hicks ? Three Gymnopedies / Rudhyar ? Sinfonietta / Freeman ? String Quartet
I had also to add a new relatively (for me totally) unknown composer (to vote, if you like). I added some bio data to distinguish him from the other 13 "John Freeman" artists I found.
John Freeman (14)
Many thanks in advance -

This post is hidden because you reported it for abuse. Show this post jsteincamp edited about 1 year agoThere's some passion around separating composers from preforming artists with either a hyphen (-) or en dash (–), however the guidelines do not support this practice. It's also visually similar to the separator that Discogs uses to distinguish the title from artist(s).
A literal interpretation of the guidelines call for a virgule (slash) as neither Prokofiev nor Shostakovich collaborated with the Smetana Quartet on this performance (it's an interpretation of the composers' works as opposed to a collaborative effort). Some submitters just us a comma—and although technically incorrect—it is at least consistent and less visually confusing.

I've had users who edited my submissions and stated this was per guidelines...
and others who rearrange Composer(s) first then Performer(s) also stating per guidelines. I tend to order them by cover appearance on my submissions and only reorder when the composers or performers are missing. -

It may be cut as one track on each side, but it does have the complete track list listed on the cover and labels. The sub should reflect that.

Yes, but I'd use Aa, Ab etc. Instead of A1a, A1b, since there's no A2 track
Edit: admittedly, guidelines are unclear about this, see RSG §12.2.9, but we always use A and B, and not A1 and B1, for 7" -

thanks!
On side A you should use an Index Track instead of an Heading, see RSG §12.13.1, then you'd put credits under it
On side B you wouldn't, since the tracks are not part of the same opus, but I would prefer not to use an Heading, putting the composer's name as a credit under each track instead -
