The vinyl is flat and generally silent. My copy does suffer from very slight distortion every now and then, which I fear is due to nonfill issues, but maybe a thorough cleaning will resolve this. The mastering is done very well, there is a clear seperation between the instruments, the drums sound tight and the vocals are nicely centred, but (of course) this is not a hifi recording. The gatefold sleeve, inner and insert have a glossy finish, which looks pretty nice.

As for the music, it's not their best record. Being influenced by their side-project, it's probably not that surprising that it sort of sounds like a side-project or a collection of B-sides. However, as always, there are quite a lot of tracks on here with original and interesting songwriting, so I'm glad I picked this up.
